Rates |
CLATS is a service of the City of Cold Lake, and the cost of operating the service is offset by fares collected from users. Fares must be paid using a pre-purchased punch card. Punch cards are available for purchase from City Hall and Cold Lake and District FCSS in $21, $35, and $70 denominations. Punch cards must be pre-purchased; drivers do not sell punch cards and do not accept cash. $1.75 (one punch) = one-way trip anywhere (point A to point B with no extra stops) within the City of Cold Lake. Volunteer helpers may travel with a client if space is available; helpers are not required to pay the fare. |
Booking a Trip |
CLATS trips must be booked at least 24 hours in advance by calling 780-207-2568. A trip request left via voicemail is not confirmed until the operator returns your call and confirms the trip. Trips booked less than 24 hours in advance will be considered based on availability. Actual pickup times may vary from the scheduled pickup time by up to 15 minutes based on weather conditions, road and driving conditions, and client mobility and flexibility. When booking a trip, the client must provide the following information: • The requested day and time of travel; • The exact address for pick up and drop off; • If a volunteer helper or mandatory attendant will be travelling; • If a wheelchair or any other type of mobility aid will be used; • If a return trip is needed. |
