The City of Cold Lake intends to build a multi-purpose aquatics centre on the north side of the Energy Centre in the coming years. City Council allocated $150,000 in the 2022 Capital Budget for an architecture consultant to produce a conceptual design plan. But, before the plans are finalized, we want to know what you think!
What features are most important to you and your family in the design of a future aquatics centre? Should it have a waterslide? Splash pool? Lazy river? Should there be a concession stand for food and drinks? How about a therapy pool for injury rehab?
We are launching an online survey to gather community feedback and ideas. Read the news release. Information collected from the survey will be used to guide City Council as they make future decisions about the design of the facility. The survey is open from March 4 to 24, 2022.
Join us Monday, March 14 at the Energy Centre for an opportunity to ask questions and view the design concepts in person! The architecture consultant and City staff will be on hand to answer questions at an interactive booth located in the main corridor from 12 to 8 p.m.
