Cold Lake, AB – The first spring sweep is here!

Residents may have noticed sweepers already cleaning up Highway 28, getting an early run in before residential sweeping takes over.

“That first sweep is pretty important, and right now we’re a bit earlier than compared to last year,” said Mayor Craig Copeland. “So long as the weather holds out, crews should be able to get to work on residential sweeping over the next few weeks.”

Crews will be following a schedule that eventually covers all the neighbourhoods in Cold Lake. Residents can find out when sweeping will occur in their area by visiting www.coldlake.com, or checking the city’s Facebook page. Any updates due to changes in the weather will also be posted. To help get a clean sweep in, residents are encouraged to move any vehicles on their street prior to the sweeper coming.
