Cold Lake, AB – The Energy Centre expansion continues to impress as new amenities officially open this weekend.
This weekend the rock wall will officially open to the public, during a special community celebration at the Energy Centre.
The most recent addition in the Energy Centre is the Booster Juice, which had a soft opening mid-December and has been running daily since then. The new business helps to round out the food services offered in the complex, alongside the Game Day Grill concession upstairs, which opened in 2017.
The Phase 3 Expansion will be on display for the public to enjoy this Saturday, January 26 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The grand opening event will include:
The new arena has been up and running with hockey, figure skating, public skating, and other user groups enjoying the new ice surface. Between it and the Imperial Oil Place Arena, the new lounge sits for viewers to watch the games, with new furniture on the way to finish the space off.
“The amenities at the Energy Centre are really coming along,” Mayor Craig Copeland said. “It’s a central hub for all things recreation and it is generating the critical mass of events and people needed to entice other business to the location.”
Located on the main floor, by the entrance to the Imperial Oil Place Arena, Booster Juice can be accessed from both inside and outside the arena.
