Cold Lake, AB – Cold Lake will be the stage sponsor of Extreme Mudfest this August.

After a presentation to Council earlier this month about the event, which included statistics of the event from previous years, council decided to become the Official Stage Sponsor at an amount of $20,000.

“Extreme Mudfest brings a lot of people into the city throughout that whole week,” said Mayor Craig Copeland. “It’s a great event, full of mud and music, and we’re happy to be a driving force in bringing it back to our community this year.”

The money for the funding comes from the Community Recreation, Art, Culture, and Heritage Investment Grant, which council voted in favour of at the April 23 meeting.

“Although things are a bit dry right now, we have a lot of amazing community events lined up for the summer, so hopefully everyone is able to stay safe, enjoy the outdoors, and have lots of fun,” said Copeland.
