Cold Lake, AB – At its regular Council meeting held tonight, council voted to implement the Restriction Exemption Program (REP) at the Cenovus Wellness Centre on the Energy Centre’s second floor.
The REP requires that patrons show proof of vaccination, or a negative, Canada-Health approved COVID test taken within the past 72 hours, to access the facility. Members who do not wish to take part in the program will have their memberships frozen so that they do not lose value while the Restriction Exemption Program is in place. The decision will be reviewed by council at its second meeting in November.
The REP will allow the Cenovus Wellness Centre to operate at full fire-code capacity. Masks will not need to be worn while participating in physical activity, but must be worn at all other times.
Beginning the morning of September 29, 2021, the health actions in place at the Energy Centre will be as follows:
