Cold Lake, AB – Cold Lake City council considered and passed several funding requests at it regular meeting, held on Jan. 9, 2024.

“Our council is happy to support events and groups which improve the quality of life for our residents,” Mayor Craig Copeland said. “It’s important to realize that some of these groups are within our broader region. We greatly appreciate our medical community in the Lakeland for their professionalism and dedication, the sports teams that provide our youth with opportunities to compete and local role models who inspire, as well as the non-profits and businesses that work to bring events and entertainment to our region.”

At the meeting, Council approved the following funding:

• Bonnyville Health Foundation Annual Fundraising Gala: $10,000
• Cold Lake Jr. B Ice Youth Nights: $4,000
• 2^nd Annual Victor Ringuette Bonnyville Sportsmen’s Fundraising Gala: $800
