Cold Lake, AB – As construction on the Regional Water Line Project continues, road closures will continue to shift.

Starting July 18, there will be a road closure in Cold Lake North, along 16 Street, between Circle K and the Seniors Lodge. Specifically, the closure will be located between 3 Avenue and 5 Avenue, as well as 5 Avenue to 6A Avenue.

Access to 16 Street from Highway 28 will be closed to prevent vehicles from turning off of Highway 28. Residential areas will still be accessible from English Bay Road. With beach access will be made available through 10^th Street.

These temporary road closures are expected to be removed on July 24.

Alternative access to Kinosoo Beach and other areas will have detour signs available.

Because of changing construction schedules due to the weather and other external factors, motorists in the area are asked to be respectful of the workers, and mindful that detours and road conditions may change from day to day.

The City of Cold Lake appreciates residents’ patience, and apologizes for any inconvenience that the road closures may cause. These temporary closures, however, will help to ensure the work is completed safely and efficiently.
