The Cold Lake Youth Council is a youth-led, volunteer-based organization that acts as peer advocates on civic and social issues. It is composed of youth ages 12-18 who live, work or attend school in Cold Lake. The CLYC represents a community investing in its youth, who are engaged and feel valued in our community.
The CLYC was developed in March 2014, and has been running strong since.
To join CLYC or attend a meeting as a guest, please contact Cold Lake and District FCSS at 780-594-4495 or email fcss@coldlake.com.
Throughout the month of December 2022, the Cold Lake Youth Council surveyed their fellow students in hopes to gain insight on what they think about the community in reference to youth support and youth inclusion.
The survey was conducted at Cold Lake High, Assumption Jr/Sr High and Ecole Voyageur. There were over 200 survey responses.
The Cold Lake Youth Council had students complete the survey and enter for a draw of a brand-new apple watch. After the survey results were calculated, they placed all names into a mass draw box and selected a winner. Congratulations to Joshua Ayers from Ecole Voyageur!
The Cold Lake Youth would like to thank all those who participated in their survey and look forward to sharing the results with their schools very soon!
