To find out if you are eligible, or to make an appointment, call Cold Lake and District FCSS at 780-594-4495.
Cold Lake and District FCSS is looking for organized people who enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. Income tax screening is the first point of contact for clients seeking help with income tax filing. Income Tax Clinic Screeners review the client's paperwork and slips to ensure the information needed to process their income taxes is correct and up to date. They also help clients with completing the paperwork when necessary.
Volunteering as a CVITP income tax processor is a great way to become familiar with T1 income tax returns for personal and professional purposes, while helping our community's most vulnerable. Canada Revenue Agency provides the software, webinar training, and a dedicated telephone help line for volunteers. To register as a CVITP processor, or for more information, please visit Canada Revenue Agency Free Tax Clinics. CVITP volunteers must also register with Cold Lake and District FCSS as a volunteer.
Please note: Canada Revenue Agency's volunteer screening may take up to 30 days.
