There is currently a delay in the Alberta Land Titles processing land title transfers. If you have recently purchased a property in Cold Lake since March 2023, it is likely the property owner information has not been updated in our records. Property tax notices have been sent out to the registered owner on file according to Alberta Land Titles and property taxes are due June 30, 2023. Failure to receive a tax notice or pay taxes by the deadline does not exempt property owners from late payment penalties. To ensure your property taxes are paid on time and without additional penalties, please fill out the New Property Owner Form to ensure the city can contact you regarding the outstanding taxes on your new property.
