Santa Claus always has a lot of houses to visit in Cold Lake and the Lakeland on Christmas Eve. To make sure he's prepared for his big trip, Santa likes to do a scouting mission a few weeks early, just to see which Cold Lake kids have been naughty and which have been nice, and to make sure everyone is in the Christmas Spirit.
As is the City's tradition, one winner is selected from each of the local business and the non-profit categories. And who makes the decision? Not the City, but the residents of Cold Lake. Whomever gets the most votes ... wins.
Jolly old Saint Nick was very pleased at the 2022 turnout and especially the crowds that came out to wave and say hi. Well done to all the participants, including our neighbouring communities of Elizabeth Metis Settlement and M.D. of Bonnyville.
