Councillor Bill Parker has called Cold Lake home since 1992 and was first elected to City Council in 2021.
Prior to serving on Council, Bill served as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, retiring at the Cold Lake detachment in 1995. He then worked as a small business owner, retiring in 2014.
Bill has been heavily involved in the community, serving on the Subdivision Development Appeal Board, Cold Lake and District Chamber of Commerce, the Advisory Committee for Portage College and the Kinosoo Performing Arts Association.
In his role on Council, Bill's goal is to build on the hard work of previous councils in making Cold Lake a great place to live, work and play.
A founding member of the Cold Lake Cruisers Car Club, he can often be found in the shop working on his cars, building wooden toys for his grandsons or taking his two cars to car shows in neighbouring communities.
Bill married his wife, Janet in 1977 and they have two adult children together, Lindsay and Kevin, along with five grandsons.
