There are many exciting capital projects planned for Cold Lake. Capital projects typically involve building new infrastructure or assets in the community or maintaining and improving existing infrastructure. Most capital projects require extensive financial planning, engineering and design that takes place over several years. Often these projects will include public consultation along the way to ensure they meet community needs.

Kinosoo Beach Enhancements Phase 3 | It is the City’s goal to have the next phase of Kinosoo Beach Enhancements completed by Canada Day. | ||
Lakeshore Drive Infrastructure Improvements | The existing underground utilities (water, sewer and storm) along Lakeshore Drive are reaching their end-of-life and in need of replacement. Once replaced, the road surface will be reconstructed. | ||
Aquatics Centre Design Development | The next phase of the Energy Centre is the addition of an aquatics centre. | ||
Public Works Operations Centre | A new public works operations centre will be constructed to replace the existing building. The current facility has outlived its life expectancy and is too small to accommodate current and future operational functions and equipment. | ||
16 Avenue Underground and Surface Replacement |
This project will include the replacement of the water and sanitary mains, service connections to property line, sidewalk rehabilitation and road replacement. |

11 Street Storm Sewer Upgrade and Road Replacement |
This project includes an upgrade/upsizing of the storm sewer system, replacement of the water and sanitary mains, and reconstruction roadway surface. |

Highway 28/55 Drainage Improvements |
The culverts under Highway 28 require repairs to prevent ponding and storm water backups. |
