Cold Lake Energy Centre, 7825 51 Street
Concept plan completion - October 2022.
The City of Cold Lake is a community with a population of about 15,000. The City intends to build a new Aquatic Centre that is conjoined with the existing Energy Centre. The most recent phase of the Energy Centre was completed in 2019 with the addition of a second arena, climbing wall and lounge area. The Energy Centre was designed with the intention for the facility to be expanded in phases with the Aquatic Center being one of the phases the community has requested from the beginning.
Approved budget: $150,000.00
Funding source: 2021 Unrestricted Surplus
Residents of Cold Lake and adjacent communities will benefit directly from the aquatics centre once it is operational. For people of all ages, the aquatics centre provides opportunities for social interaction, stress relief, relaxation, and recreation.
This project aligns with the Energy Centre Master Plan and builds on the City’s vision to provide state-of-the-art recreational facilities.
