This program allows the opportunity for children to navigate their body in an environment by engaging in a variety of sensory experiences.  This six-week program focuses on skill development that prepares children for Kindergarten.

Ooey Gooey (ages 0-6)

Ooey Gooey

What oozes, is gooey and slimy all over?  You will not believe what your eyes see, your nose smells, your mouth tastes, your ears hear, and what you feel when you mix it all together.  Sensory activity increases fine motor skills.

Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise (ages 9-14)

Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise

Spend a no-school Friday morning learning about finances and the art of saving money with the Lakeland Credit Union.  In the afternoon, learn about meal planning and healthy snack preparation.

Cold Lake Youth Council (ages 12-17)

Cold Lake Youth Council

This is a youth-led, volunteer-based organization that acts as a voice for the young people of Cold Lake and as peer advocates on civic and social issues.  They promote youth activism and civic engagement.  Members develop communication and leadership skills while building their resume and making new friends.

Guided Meditation (ages 18+)

Guided Meditation

Guided meditation, which is also knows as guided imagery, uses words and images to help move our attention away from worry, stress and pain to help find our own inner strength and creativity.  This brings the natural powers of the mind into a state of health and healing.  Guided medication can promote relaxation, which can lower blood pressure and reduce other problems related to stress.

Moving and Grooving Kids (ages 0-6)

Moving and Grooving Kids

Join us at the Cold Lake Energy Centre Reid Field House for a morning to work on those important developmental skills; fine motor, gross motor, communication, physical health and wellbeing, empathy and reflection, and encouraging curiosity.

Silly Science – Flight (ages 9-12)

Silly Science – Flight

Aerodynamics is a branch of physics that we will explore through interactive experiments.  You will put the four forces of flight into action with your own airplane.

Puppet Master

Puppet Master

Today is about actively listening to a story, building a stage, creating a character and developing the character as you reenact the story on stage.  Storytelling is great for communication and supporting children to obtain awareness of the world.

Living Through Grief (ages 18+)

Living Through Grief

We all need a support system to help us as we move through our grief journey.  While family and friends are vital, unless they have experienced a close personal loss, they most likely do not fully “get it”.  That is where Living Through Grief can become a valuable resource for you.  Although this is not a support group, we encourage you to come so you can have the opportunity to begin the healing process.  Gain coping skills and tools to help you through the most difficult days.

Baby Blues (ages 18+)

Baby Blues

Are you struggling after having a baby?  Postpartum depression is a type of mood disorder connected with childbirth.  This monthly program is designed for caregivers of children from birth to age one, and is in partnership with The Mama Coach program.
