Cold Lake, AB – The first spring sweep is here!
Residents may have noticed sweepers already cleaning up Highway 28, getting an early run in before residential sweeping takes over.
“That first sweep is pretty important, and right now we’re a bit earlier than compared to last year,” said Mayor Craig Copeland. “So long as the weather holds out, crews should be able to get to work on residential sweeping over the next few weeks.”

This weekend the rock wall will officially open to the public, during a special community celebration at the Energy Centre.

Cold Lake, AB – Changes have already begun to the Cold Lake Water Treatment Plant, in preparation for the Regional Utility Water Services line that will be bringing water from Cold Lake to the Town of Bonnyville.
The Water Treatment Plant upgrades are required to accommodate the treatment and distribution of additional water required to service the Town of Bonnyville, while still maintaining the level of service required for the City of Cold Lake.
