Clean energy program given green light to move forward

Cold Lake, AB – Residents can soon get help with the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP), after council approved administration to begin preparing a bylaw for the program.

Proposed Taxi bylaw changes seek fare transparency

Cold Lake, AB – After reviewing the City of Cold Lake’s taxi bylaw and comparing it to those passed in other municipalities, City Council has asked administration to consider changes that would increase transparency of taxi fares for customers, and allow for better enforcement of infractions.

Cold Lake Transit launches new accelerated weekday schedule

Cold Lake, AB – Weekday transit service in Cold Lake will be faster, more efficient and with fewer delays when the City launches a new accelerated weekday schedule beginning Monday, March 14, 2022.

Federal census finds 4.6% growth in Cold Lake

Cold Lake, AB – The city of Cold Lake added 685 residents, growing by 4.6 per cent between 2016 and 2021 to reach a population of 15,661, according to the 2021 Federal Census.

The last federal census, conducted in 2016, put the city’s population of 14,976 after having grown by 8.1 per cent in the preceding five years.
