Cold Lake, AB – Council will be considering changes to the Smoking Bylaw to allow an exception to permit Indigenous ceremonial use for smudging and/or pipe ceremonies within city facilities.
Under the current bylaws, any type of smoke is not allowed in city buildings or facilities, as well as all public spaces unless a permit is given.

Cold Lake, AB – The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) is coming to Cold Lake.
CEIP is a financing program designed to help residential property owners pay for energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy installations to their home. Cold Lake, AB – Four grant applications were submitted to the Community Recreation, Art, Culture, and Heritage Investment (CRACH) Grant program for the January deadline. Of these four, three were approved by council.
