How to pay your bills during mail disruption

Cold Lake, AB – In the event of a disruption in mail service, please use one of the following methods to pay City bills and tickets. Please note that late payment penalties will not be waived due to this disruption.  A credit card may not be used to pay property taxes or city utility bills.

  • In Person – Payments for all services: City Hall, 5513 – 48 Avenue. Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Quick Drop Box – Payments can be made by cheque or money order (no cash) at City Hall, 5513 – 48 Avenue. (After business hours, weekends and holidays.)

  • Telephone, Online or in-branch Banking – Payment for utilities, taxes, business licences, and general invoices are available through most financial institutions.

  • Pre-Authorised Debit – Utility payments can be made through our pre-authorized debit plan by calling 780-594-4494,or In person at City Hall , 5513 – 48 Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Vendors: Email your invoices to Accounts Payable Cheques can be picked up at City Hall.

Current year taxes that remain unpaid after June 30, 2016, are subject to the following penalties: 

July 1                     2%
August 1              2%
September 1      2%
October 1            2%
November 1       2%
December 1       2%

This does NOT apply to property owners enrolled in the Tax Installment Payment Plan.  

Please note: a postal interruption may delay and receipt of Property Tax Arrears Statements to those property owners who have not paid their 2016 property taxes by June 30. Late payment penalties will not be waived due to this interruption.
